We  offer pre-authorized debits for water/sewer accounts and tax accounts!  Contact the Office for more information, or download and print the PAD Agreement below!

We also accept E-transfer payments.

If you have an issue that you would like to bring to the Town’s attention, please complete and deliver to the Office the below Citizen Complaint Form.

 

 Tax & Utility Electronic Notices

The Town of Kinistino continues to move forward with new technologies with our computer programs from the municipal software provider. We are pleased to announce that we are now offering Tax Notices and Utility Bills to be delivered by email. If you are interested in receiving electronic notices, please complete the enclosed Email Consent Form to discontinue paper bills.

We would also encourage everyone to enroll in the Pre-authorized payment program for tax and utility. This way you can avoid late payments & interest. Tax payments are debited on the 27th of each month and utility payments are debited on the last day of each month. The Pre-authorized form can be found on the town website. You may also request the form by email. Contact the office for more information on payment dates and amounts.

Other payment options: “snail mail”, in person at the town office (cash, debit and cheques accepted), online with Scotia Bank or Affinity Credit Union and e-transfer (please specify if you are paying taxes or water). Another option we are working on is payment by credit card through the town website.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office. Forms may be returned by mail, email or dropped off.

 Council and Staff

The Town Office is situated at 506 Main Street.  The Kinistino Community Centre and Town Office building was erected in 2022.  The majority of funding for this project was achieved through the Federal and Provincial Governments Investing in Canada Infrastructure Projects Grant and a generous anonymous contributor.

Regular council meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.  All agenda items should be brought to the attention of the administrator no later than the Friday before the meeting.

 Landfill Hours

The landfill is open to residents and businesses of the Town on the following days:

April 1 to October 31
Wednesdays 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Saturdays 8:00 am to noon
