Kinistino Community Centre Sponsorship Opportunity

RE:      Kinistino Community Centre Sponsorship Opportunity

Back in 2019, former, late Mayor Leonard Margolis, was approached by an anonymous donor looking to sponsor a project in Kinistino.  After numerous discussions and deliberations, coupled with the fact that the Legion Hall was in a state of deterioration and disrepair, it was decided that the generous offer of the donor would be used to replace that facility.  Further logistical planning led to the decision to move the Town administration offices to the same space.  An architect was hired to begin design. In 2020, the Town applied for grant funding without success. The project was put to tender with the hope that we would still be able to proceed and that there would be another grant intake.  That opportunity presented itself and the Town applied again for the ICIP grant in early 2021 based on the tender prices that had been provided.  However, by the time we were notified that our grant application was successful, construction prices had risen drastically. The amount of the original grant is not negotiable.  In short, while we are extremely fortunate to have received federal and provincial funding, along with the donor funds, it will not be enough to cover the full costs of the project.

Therefore, we are looking for monetary sponsorship for our new community centre to ease the burden on the taxpayers. The Town is able to provide a tax receipt for monetary donations. Sponsors within the below ranges will be recognized on a permanent donor wall display in the lobby of the Centre for years to come.

Levels of sponsorship:
Diamond         $1,000,000+
Platinum          $100,000 – $999,999
Gold                $25,000 – $99,999
Silver               $10,000 – $24,999
Crystal             $5,000 – $9,999
Bronze             $1,500 – $4,999
Contributor      $500 – $1,499

We thank you for your time and consideration on this important matter.

Yours truly,

Kinistino Town Council
