The Emergency Communications Center in Prince Albert dispatches the Fire Department, the RCMP (out of Melfort) and the Parkland Ambulance services in Prince Albert to Kinistino in the event of an emergency.

Fire Protection
The Kinistino Fire Department serves the Town of Kinistino, and parts of the Rural Municipality of Kinistino #459, and the Rural Municipality of Invergordon #430. It is volunteer squad and offers excellent fire protection and emergency response. They have their own trucks and equipment and 90% of the firefighters are residents of the Town. A fire chief coordinates the department in the event of an emergency. The Town and Fire Department are part of the 911 system and use this system for quick response and coordination with other protective services.
Law Enforcement
The Town of Kinistino has a contract with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to provide policing services to the Town to maintain law and order.
