Besides local news, daily papers from major cities are readily available to local residents, including the Saskatoon Star Phoenix, The National and Financial Post and the Prince Albert Herald.
Kinistino and district is fortunate to enjoy radio reception from AM and FM stations throughout Saskatchewan. Through this aspect of the media the community receives local, provincial, federal and world news as it happens. With stations in Prince Albert and Melfort both local events and weather forecasts are available.
Both major Canadian television companies, the CBC and CTV, have stations which Kinistino can tune in to. As well, one French language station can be viewed. Satellite dish reception has proven to be excellent in the area.
