My name is Andrew Helm and I have lived in Kinistino for the past 16 years. I am a general contractor that has been fortunate to be a part of many projects around Kinistino. 

My wife Sarah and I have three children and are thankful for the community we are able to raise our family in. I think it’s important to offer recreational opportunities for people of all ages and also to continue to maintain the existing infrastructure we all enjoy. 

I’ve sat on council for the past four years as well as the Kinistino sports complex board. I have learned a lot in this term and I hope I can continue to serve the community.

My name is Steven Jack. Born and raised here in the Kinistino area. I currently manage the Lake Country Co-op Agro here in town. I also grain farm with my parents, on our family farm. I take great pride in our community and town, and I am grateful for all it has to offer. My time on council has been rewarding and hopefully I can continue to serve you and continue to help our community grow.

I was born and raised on a farm not far from Kinistino and went to school here. I have lived in town for quite a few years. I raised my kids here and loved living in a smaller town. I work full time at Agworld Equipment in Kinistino. I have been involved with many community clubs, groups and boards in Kinistino, probably my favourite being Communities in Bloom.

The Community pride that is shown in Kinistino by its residents and businesses is very noticeable to all who live and visit our town, it is something that is often mentioned by CiB Judges.

Having been on Town Council for a number of years it has been a pleasure to serve the Community and also see all the remarkable forward thinking plans, ideas and changes that have happened along the way. I think it is really important to be part of your community and I would be happy to be elected
to Town Council and grateful for your support.

My name is Jadie Porter and I have resided in Kinistino now for five years with my husband, Graham Porter. I was born and raised in North Battleford, where my immediate family still resides. Growing up I loved all things sports and outdoors, but figure skating was my main passion. After I graduated high school, I attended the University of Saskatchewan and obtained a bachelor’s degree in commerce. I am currently employed by the Government of Saskatchewan as an Agreements Administrator in Supply Chain Management where I was awarded the Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Public Service. I continue to challenge myself to learn new things and pursue more education.

While I wasn’t born and raised in Kinistino, I still felt the urge to be involved in the town that one day, my kids will get the opportunity to grow up in. When I first made the move, I was eager to get to know people in the community, and naturally, the first thing that I was interested in was the Kinistino Figure Skating Club. I have been coaching with Kinistino Figure Skating Club ever since and hope to continue coaching for years to come.

This previous year was my first year as an elected town council member where I was able to learn about the different policies, procedures and financial items, have a voice for the taxpayers of Kinistino, and act on decisions that I believe will keep Kinistino thriving for years to come. I believe it’s important to have all generations be part of the town council to have all voices and viewpoints to be heard.

Hello all residents of Town of Kinistino. My name is Kelly Sharkey I’m running for town council again . Moved back to Kinistino in 1996 the town that adopted me as young 18 yr old coming here to play hockey in 1983. I wanted to do all I could for the town that I have been business owner,on volunteer fire department and served as fire chief for about ten yrs, joined Kinismen , was town cable guy when Lenoard Margolis asked me to help out, I have been on council for more than 18yrs. My wife Dawn and I raised our kids here and been active in stuff throughout the years in the community. I thank all of you the residents for giving me the past opportunity to serve you in town. Hello kinistino 

I am Brennen smith. I currently have been on council for the past 2 years and would like your support in the upcoming election. 

I was raised here in kinistino and I am proud to be raising my own family with my wife Noelle Smith. We have three sons Gavin Benjamin and Aiden. I work along side my father on our commercial honey bee operation. I am an active  member in our community and take pride in helping volunteer. I joined the fire dept in 2009 and was elected as Chief in 2019. I was also a part of the kinsmen club when we revamped the kinsmen park. Currently I sit on a board that is focused on rebuilding the ball diamonds here in town and am happy to say with your support we will have phase one complete this fall and start working on phase two in the spring of 2025. I feel in the two years I have been on council I have learned so much about our community and hope to be able to continue serving you as your council member if re-elected

Shawn Vereschagin is looking for your support in his bid for the position of town councillor. He has been a resident of Kinistino since August of 2023, and teaches Music and English at Kinistino Public School. He holds a Bachelor of Music, and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan. He has ties to the community through his wife, Erika (Rybinski), who was born and raised in Kinistino.

Being a father of two young girls, Stella and Emilia, he wants to work towards making Kinistino an even better place to live for families. His focuses are on ensuring public safety, beautifying and maintaining the cleanliness of the town, increasing recreation opportunities for youth (e.g. outdoor rink), and improving areas for the community to gather. 

Shawn has always had an interest in contributing to the communities in which he has lived. Arts and music are areas Shawn has invested in, and he hopes that he will be able to extend his service through being a member of town council.
